Happened upon this restaurant while visiting the area for work and what a treasure! I loved my chicken caprese sandwich so much I went back the second day and enjoyed another with the limoncello dessert. The owner is so warm and friendly, the atmosphere is adorable and welcoming and the little storefront of Italian goods makes it impossible to not take a few things home. The chocolate pizzelles with pistachio spread are such a treat! Visit this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. I will be making a dinner visit during my next trip!!!

Many foods do not turn out good when you take them home however this place is amazing both in and out of the restaurant definitely a must !!!

Mercato is a great find for an affordable restaurant that has great food and amazing service. We just love it and dine there weekly. It is our hidden gem! The food is served hot, quality is excellent, taste is fantastic, and cost is very reasonable. I highly recommend you check out this restaurant. The bonus is the Italian market connected to the restaurant. The ravioli and pizza are great!

Severely underrated gem around Princeton. My favorite is the linguini seppia with spicy marsala sauce and seafood, as well as the panna cotta for dessert! They also sell some Italian packaged goodies. Amazing service too!

Excellent dinner all four of us loved. My Vitello Pucclarmati was excellent — never had sausages with veal before. Now it's gonna be my favorite (delicious sausages too). My wife's favorite anywhere is Flounder Francese and at Mercato's it was perfect — wife loved it. The Penne Bolognese with meatballs was excellent. My grandson devoured his kids pasta. Our Arrincini app. was very delicious (especially when there's mozzarella cheese inside which you rarely get anywhere). I forgot to mention my Linguine Alfredo was just perfect — one of the best anywhere, made just the way I love it. Nice hot dinner bread with our dinner. Nice size portions, excellent and friendly service, deliciously prepared Italian cuisine. We'll definitely be back, and soon — there's other items I'm looking forward to try. I went here for the first time Friday for my grandma's birthday and we had a wonderful time. It is a smaller BYOB place that doesn't look like much from the outside but it's beautiful inside. The food was delicious — I loved the calamari, bruschetta (it has really flavorful olives), and the penne bolognese. My boyfriend loved the pollo Montecarlo but the portion was a bit too small for him. The service was really good too. I'm already looking forward to coming back!
